  • Mary Magdalan: Full Frontal VIisual Assault

    Author: Zachary Anderson

Mary Magdalan is a true fighter.

In the past two years Magdalan has single-handedly sold over 30,000 records and has topped out over 1 million downloads all from the confines of her Hollywood apartment and without a single stitch of assistance from a record label or big time management firm.

Now Mary enters a new chapter of her career with her new album DIGI.N3RV. "This album saved my life", exclaims Magdalan of her new CD. "When I went into the recording process for this album I knew that if I was to re-create some of my older music that I might not make it through". The album shows yet another side of Mary Magdalan and is a head first dive into future sounds by combining dubstep, hip hop & electro with subtle layers of rock on this 14 song disc.

In order to keep up with major players in the industry Mary decided to do a full on visual assault for DIGI.N3RV and has filmed four music videos for songs off of the album which she will drop every two weeks for the next two months. "My goal was to do music videos for every song on the album, which I still may end up doing", says Mary of her upcoming video releases. The first music video to be released is "The Wicked Ones," a dubstep/hiphop body mover filmed on location during her most recent 35 city US Tour. Videos for other songs off of DIGI.N3RV including "Rudegirl", "Hollywood" and "Electro Fashion Punk" will be released throughout September and October.

  • Dance Group Blue Stars

    History

Since I was a little girl, I danced everywhere I heard music. Dancing was and is still an important thing in my life! I had the chance to be part of some dancegroups where I made my experiences. I also had my first danceduo and some dance-courses at school where I invented some choreographies. It was a great feeling to see people dance my choreographies. But it was also a very exciting time when I was part of other dancegroups. I enjoyed it very much and I don’t regret any minute of it.

But now, I decided to create my own dancegroup.
And that was the beginning of "Dancegroup BLUE STARS"!

I hope you will enjoy our shows, because the greatest gift a dancer can have, is to see the crowd having fun during the show.

    My dream became true!!!

P.S.: I want to thank my husband, my family and my friends who always stood behind me during the planing and founding of my own dancegroup!

    Thank you all!

    Vanessa

  • Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival 2011 - Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeth, Trivium

On May 8th of this year I had the pleasure of seeing Godsmack headline the first ever Welcome to Rockville festival in Jacksonville Florida--It would turn out to be the most incredible concert I've ever seen and Godsmack, headlining a bill featuring 20 other rock and metal bands, would prove the strength of their first album in the new decade, The Oracle.

Our tendency to slough off music and artists at the beginning of each decade to make room for the next generation has actually proven beneficial for Godsmack. The Oracle shows that this band, who have survived changing musical trends in the past, have lost none of their ability to continue to grow musically while at the same time maintaining a sound that is unique in its power and aggression, a sound that is distinctly Godsmack

  • Avant et après d'Amy Winehouse

    Author: Natalie Wood
